The Kheurn Family
Our Story
Kheurn Sophal lives on his own but works to support his two younger brothers; one of whom lives with his uncle and works as a fisherman, and the other whom is serving an unjust prison sentence. He owes $300 USD to three lenders that he took out to help support his siblings and to cover the breaks in his seasonal work. Kheurn Sophal has always longed for a family to belong to, his parents died when he was very young and he has been alone and in between homes for his whole life. One day he hopes to be able to live with both of his brothers and be able to afford to send them to school – what an admirable dream!
