Our Story
Despite the fact that Mel Vy and his wife, Som Heourn, are in a significant amount of debt and “know a road is going to be built across our house, we are okay,” Mel Vy says. It’s inspiring to see such optimism! They have a first grader at the SALT school, and a beautiful new baby. Dad’s work as a fisherman is very inconsistent, he often worries about feeding his family every day. They are concerned about their debt and knowing they will soon be forced off their land but are excited to continue to work with RAW on improving their community.
