The Pheary Family
Our Story
Dy Lin and her husband Maen Pheary would love to be able to afford to move out of his mother’s house, where they also live with his siblings and their families, but remain in Ta Skor. They have acquired a huge $3,000 USD of debt across two lenders and worry about the health of their child, as he is currently too sick to send to school. Maen Pheary works as a cook in Phnom Penh and is the family’s only source of income- really putting the large family’s financial situation into perspective! In the future, the couple would love to open their own business selling groceries.
