How long have you worked with RAW? Since April 2018
What did you do before volunteering with RAW? I finished year 12 in 2017 and then worked a vintage for 3 months in preparation for Cambodia.
What does your job involve? I work to create media content on all things RAW happening on ground and in Australia, as well as work with the Media team to produce team clips.
What is your favourite part of your job? I love being a part of sharing the stories of our RAW families and updating the world on what’s happening here on ground.
How has working with RAW changed your life? I am part of a close group of workmates who are now considered family to me. The RAW Crew are an amazing group of inspirational people and am so lucky to be a part of it! At RAW I feel a strong sense of purpose. Meeting the families we work with and seeing how RAW’s work impacts them in such a positive way is something that will stay with me forever.
Your donation helps to cover Alanah’s monthly salary here in Cambodia and allows RAW to continue to employ her and others to do the every day work that makes our projects possible.
Because the legends we call RAW Crew are the real heroes driving our projects every day. They are local builders on the tools building bamboo homes, they are teachers empowering the next generation, they are passionate young people driving powerful change through social media, personal engagement, projects, team logistics and more. They INSPIRE us.
