How long have they worked with RAW? Since January 2019.
What did they do before working with RAW? Malcolm is a registered builder and prior to RAW, worked for himself doing house renovations and extensions. Michelle is a mother of five incredible children and worked as a high school science teacher.
What do their jobs involve? Malcolm is working within our Protect Team, building homes and assisting with visiting teams, as well as training the local builders. Michelle is homeschooling their children and helping in the office with logistics and team bookings.
What is their favourite part of their jobs? Seeing the enthusiasm of the people that are on teams, and the handover ceremony of each house to the recipients. In particular how much it means to the families and how this touches others. They also love working with the dedicated team in the RAW office.
How has working with RAW changed their lives? Their family is living in a very different culture and has shifted their focus to helping others.
