The Vuthy David Family
Our Story
Vuthy David lives with his wife, Chery Srey Kann, and their two young children. Their tiny house is held together with sticks, straw and empty rice bags. It’s gotten to the point where it will simply not last another wet season. Dad works on RAW’s Khmer build team, and is the family’s sole income, whilst Chery Srey Kann stays home to care for their children. They dream of their children receiving an education at SALT School in the future.
The day of his first pay, Mr. David immediately asked to go and make a debt repayment and has done so for each payment since- a real win for the family and a testament to his determination! Thanks to his new stable income, he is slowly tackling over $1,000 USD owed to four lenders and is feeling hopeful for his family’s future.
