The Rum Family
Our Story
Tay Rum and his wife, Nheneun Keam, live with his mother and their five children on the outskirts of Ta Skor. They are in over $1,000 USD of debt, and worry about it every day as they are only able to pay it off very slowly- meaning it is constantly hanging over their heads. They were very excited to join Every Piece Matters because they would love to one day make enough money selling things at the local market to pay off their debt and own their own land. They ultimately hope to provide their children with quality education, so they are able to get good jobs when they finish school- what an amazing dream to have!
