Our Story
Ros Touk, 67, lives with her daughter and son in law and helps care for her five grandchildren. “I tell my daughter she has to work hard because I will be gone soon,” She shares through a translator when asked about her goals for the family’s future. The family is in around $500 USD of debt and at a huge 20% interest. However, miraculously and thanks to Ros Touk’s diligence, all except the smallest child (5 years, still too little) are in the government school- though they dream of sending them to the SALT School where they would receive a more solid education! In the future, they would love to live closer to people where they can make more money selling corn and snails.
