The Sor Heng Family
Our Story
Elderly couple, Sor Heng and his wife Yat Touch, both are too old to work and sustain themselves, as well as pay off their rising debt of $500 USD. They previously lived near the river, however their house was demolished in a devastating landslide during the wet season, forcing them to move in with their daughter. They are now fully dependant on her and stay home each day to look after their grandchildren whilst their daughter works to support them. Sor Heng no longer wants to be a burden on his daughter and her family. He dreams of having a home of his own, where him and Yat Touch are able to independently sustain themselves, and not rely heavily on their family to survive.
