The Tuon Sok Family
Our Story
Widower Tuon Sok Eng has lived in Ta Skor for seven years. Many of our families are very transient, only having come to Ta Skor in the last year or two, but he has been here for a long time; despite the fact that his house clearly completely floods every rainy season. “I don’t care if the government takes my land,” he shares with a translator, “this land sucks!”
He cares deeply for his community which is inspiring to see, and after hearing about Every Piece Matters, gave an excited “okay!” in English. He makes up to $5/day and has one daughter, who is married. He would love to be able to earn more to help support her and her family.
