The Vorn Vun Family
Our Story
Vorn Vun and his wife, Yorn Kak, live on the very edge of the creek. They have four children; three boys and one beautiful baby! They borrowed a bit of money to buy fishing supplies and start their life together, and are struggling to pay it back. Vorn Vun and Yorn Kak often worry about their debt and about their home during the flooding season; plus they struggle to take care of one of their children who has a regular fever.
Their three sons currently attend the government school, where they sadly do not receive a solid education. It is therefore the family’s dream to send all of their children to SALT School, where they will receive life-changing education! They’d love to live closer to an area where they could go to earn money every day, since fishing doesn’t always pay well and is far from being a sustainable livelihood.
