Our Story
To say that Seem Saray and Nhean Channa are crippled by debt is an understatement. The couple has been forced to borrow over $4,000 USD; a loan they took out to start their life together turned out to be crooked, at over 30% interest! The cycle continued when they had to take out another loan to pay off the first, and following Seem Saray’s heart attack and expensive medical bills, their situation quickly spiralled out of control. He is still very sick, and they have three young children. She sells what she can cook from the house, the couple hopes they can afford to send their children to SALT School when they are old enough. Every Piece Matters will be a huge step in the right direction for this family!
