The Var Family
Our Story
Orl Var and his wife, Chinh Sophal, have two children, only one of whom goes to the Public School. Their oldest actually asked to stop and find work since the family is in over $2,000 USD of debt; he wanted to help take the pressure off his parents. This makes Orl Var sad as he should be in school, but he was grateful for his son’s help as he, Chinh Sophal and their son are sadly very unwell. He has limited mobility and has all but lost the use of his legs, and she always feels dizzy and has an uneven heartbeat.
They feel like their sense of hope has been restored, now that they have moved to their new home on the I-Block! Orl Var wishes that he could run a shop at the market, so that he wouldn’t need to walk so far to support his family.
